Gold Glove Award

The Rawlings Gold Glove Award (or just the Gold Glove) is an annual award given to minor league baseball (MLB) players who have exhibited superior fielding performances at each fielding position. Managers and coaches vote for who they believe are most deserving.

How it Works

We’re honoured to see the pride on young players’ faces when they’re recognized for their hard work, and even more honoured when they take that pride back to the field.

House Divisions

Mosquito, PeeWee, Bantam, Midget

Coaches nominate one stand-out player per team who made the most impressive defensive plays all season. Each winner receives a branded Gold Glove trophy. There’s one per team.

Rep Divisions

PeeWee, Bantam, Midget

These champs take it a step further. Winners visit our store and get fitted for a custom Rawlings Heart of the Hide glove, tailored just for them.

Timing

  1. Voting
    Voting begins in spring, right after opening weekend.
  2. House Winners Announced
    House winners are announced in June.
  3. Rep Winners Announced
    Rep winners are announced in July.

Custom Rawlings® Glove

Winners are given a custom designed Heart of the Hide Rawlings Glove. The winners come into our store and work with us to design their own glove.
